Local Beaches, Amenities and Attractions

The local blue flag beach, which is just a five minute drive down the hill from the villa, is called Pissouri Bay. The beach has a number of reasonably priced and good quality restaurants and there are several others within easy walking distance. The selection is a mix of local style food and more international cuisine.

There is also a small local convenience store and the Serenity Day Spa. Further facilities, bars restaurants and shops can be found in Pissouri village itself which is approximately 2 minutes away by car or a 20 minute walk. Water sports and diving are available off the beach as well and there is a nice bar for relaxing after a hard day in or on the water.

Golf Courses:

Aphrodite Hills and Secret Valley all offer world class and challenging courses within approximately 10 minutes of Villa Romious.

Skiing:

There are substantial facilities available at Mount Olympus approximately 50 kilometres from Pissouri.

Spas and Relaxation Centres:

Serenity Day Spa (on the beach), Aphrodite Hills.

Local Attractions:

This area is the centre of the winemaking industry and there are numerous vineyards making excellent and much underrated wine close to Pissouri.

Close by are the ruins of the Greek city of Amathus and to the west of Paphos you will find the Tomb of the Kings with its extensive underground network of burial chambers. Aphrodite Rocks is the fabled birth-place of the Goddess Aphrodite and with its towering rock prominence and spectacular mountain backdrop is well worth a visit.

Paphos Harbour is one of the most visited sites on the island and being less than 30 minutes away a trip there would be on most people’s ‘must do’ agenda.

Water sports:

Diving, Snorkelling, Sailing, Jet ski, Power boating and water skiing are all available locally and the beach also has a water park with numerous rides for both adults and children alike.

Other sports available:

Riding, tennis, fishing, hiking and cycling can all be accessed locally.
